While out chasing weed plants and trees I came across this new indigenous Australian native plant.

Yellow Buttons – Chrysocephalum apiculatum

About this time each year we go hunting for a bad weed tree for South East Queensland – The Easter Cassia

It flowers at this time every year(Easter) and has bright and distinctive yellow flowers.  These bright flowers make them easy to spot in the native grassland forest that covers our place.

So while hunting Easter Cassias, I came across these small bunches of yellow flowers.  There were spread out over an area of a few square metres, and it was definitely something we have not discovered here before.

We will collect some seeds from these plants and hopefully soon we will have Yellow Buttons/Common Everlasting for sale in the nuresery
