How we use this plant
Dianellas are used across our property and the Native Nursery.
Dianella breviperdunculata are an indigenous native here and we have many spread all over the property. We have also sued them in Rainforest Regeneration, Erosion Prevention and in decorative areas.
“Brevis” as we call them are great in wet areas, shady areas and are also tough as nails. A number of them grow ‘wild’ on our ‘North Face’ – an open slope in direct sun all day.
‘Brevis’ do not spread as much as Dianella caerulea and therefore are great as a show piece plant.
They also grow wells in a wide medium pot.
